Collab Beer: Hop Men’s IPA

August was also the month, our collab beer Hop Men’s IPA was released - a crispy West Coast IPA made with ÅBEN’s very own Brewer Rick Musters and his brewery Hop Bottle.

One of the brewing industry’s most significant characteristics - and what defined ÅBEN’s name - is the openness and cooperation between brewers. It is part of what makes the industry unique and through collabs it pushes everyone to keep innovating.

Therefore we are really excited to release the Hop Men’s IPA this month. A recipe from the brewery Hop Bottle - founded by ÅBEN’s Brewer Rick and his good friend back in 2016 - and brewed at the ÅBEN brewery in Kolding.

With Hop Men’s IPA, Rick wanted to brew a West Coast IPA that had some bite with a bitter feeling, but without the high ABV. Using caramel malt to give it some more sweetness, it became this golden IPA you can easily drink a couple of. At Hop Bottle’s first entry at Øllets dag in Fredericia in 2017, it was named Beer of the Year - and it is still exactly as refreshing and crisp as back then.

We are happy to have such a talented brewer as Rick at the brewery, and we can’t wait for everyone to get a taste of the Hop Men’s IPA.

Find it on tap at one of the bars or at the webshop here.
