A Trip to the North / Hop City 2021

Earlier this August, ÅBEN was invited to this year’s Hop City in Leeds together with some of the world’s leading breweries within IPAs. Thankful for the exciting opportunity, this might also lead to some thrilling news soon…

Despite corona restrictions, Philip Hulgaard managed to put his feet on the grounds in UK earlier this August, when ÅBEN was invited to this year’s Hop City in Leeds. Invited by the UK based brewery Northern Monk, ÅBEN was represented among some of the world’s leading hop forward breweries from all over the world.

Hop City is all about hoppy beers within the IPA genre, so we got to showcase some of our new beers from the Reflections series together with classics such as our signature beer Bryg 61. We were fortunate to get to meet and talk with many excellent breweries, who already pose as great inspirations in our daily work. 

We are truly thankful to have been invited and be part of such fine company. These events are amazing opportunities to meet other brewers and share experiences and good ideas. Hopefully, something exciting might come out of it, which we can share with you soon… Did someone say collab time?
